The IPIX e-Series is an all-in-one computer designed specifically for point-of-care applications in hospitals and clinics and for use on other medical devices. With an optional touch screen, the IPIX e-Series is a compact, space-saving computer that is energy efficient, sealed and fan-less.
The e-Series was designed to provide medical grade functionality at a lower price point and to offer improved energy efficiency compared to our other all-in-one products. The e-Series is based upon the economical Atom processor by Intel.
Designed as a medical grade computer system and compliant* with EN-60601-1-2 standards, the IPIX e-Series all-in-one PC is IP-65 rated (front panel) to allow the computer system to easily be wiped clean for the purposes of infection control.
Thin, compact and lightweight, the IPIX can be easily adapted to many different uses and mounting solutions (mobile carts, wall mounts, wall cabinets, desktop use).
An optional internal Lithium ion battery provides backup power during a power loss and the IPIX includes an internal charger and front panel indicators for the backup battery. For wall mounted and desktop mounted PCs, the internal battery is an alternative to installing a separate uninterruptible power supply (UPS) in a hallway, patient room or nurse’s station. Or, if PCs are already connected to a hospital generator system, the internal battery keeps the IPIX online for the brief power interruption that occurs at switchover during a power loss.
Utilizing mobile computer components, the IPIX 19” computer system is designed to be energy efficient and easily mobile, allowing for a wide range of power options. The 19” IPIX is designed for long battery life for cart-mounted use when an external battery system is used. For other applications, an optional medical-grade AC power supply can provide 15VDC. The 19” IPIX systems were designed to accommodate DC power input from 10VDC to 18VDC. (When the internal Lithium-ion battery is used, 15Vor more is required to charge the internal battery). For optimal energy efficiency, power management settings should also be used.
The IPIX incorporates powerful Intel microprocessors, removable shock-mounted SATA hard drives (solid state drives optional), up to 4GB of system memory, optional Intel 802.11abgn Wi-Fi, and fully supports Microsoft Windows 7 Professional.
The IPIX computer system is designed, built and supported in the USA by Datalux Corporation in Winchester, Virginia. The current IPIX is a 6th generation product and has been designed to provide reliable service in demanding healthcare application environments. Every Datalux IPIX system includes a standard 3-year manufacturers’ warranty! Additional warranty and deployment services are available, including extended warranties, custom drive imaging, O/S downgrade and activation, and premium warranty services.
*The 17” IPIX is EN-60601-1-2 certified. The 19” IPIX and e-Series were designed to EN-60601-1-2 standards and pending test results. The 20” IPIX was designed to EN-60601-1-2 standards.
